Auxilium Girls' School, a Catholic minority educational institution, is located in the suburbs of Nandan Nagar, just 3 km away from Agartala town. Established in 2003, it is the first English-medium girls’ school in the State of Tripura. The school caters to girls irrespective of caste or creed and is recognized by the Government of Tripura. In 2009, the school gained affiliation with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) (Affiliation No. 2030012, School Code: 35385) and upgraded to Senior Secondary in 2013. Over the years, the school has modernized its infrastructure, keeping pace with the demands of modern education, making it one of Tripura's premier educational institutions.
The school is owned and administered by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco (FMA) of Shillong Province, registered as "Auxilium Welfare Society" under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, with its Provincial Headquarters at Auxilium, Nongthymmai, Shillong. The Salesian Sisters, a worldwide organization founded by Don Bosco and St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello in 1872 in Italy, have over 13,000 members working across 94 countries, continuing their legacy of educating and nurturing youth.
